a day with my friends!! 25/04/25

so last week i spent the day with Mae and Nene!

we originally met up to get some materials for a little arts and crafts galsa project for girochin ;P

Mae and I met at the arts and crafts store... i was late T-T bc i tried a new route in public transports and it turned out to be slow AF.. anyways we got what we needed from the store pretty quickly

it was around 12am or so, so we were getting hungry

in girochin we've been wanting to try more foods (and activities in general);; bc it seems like the "typical" gaijin gal activities for meet ups always end up revolving around japan and weeb culture; eating japanese food, hanging out in areas where there are a lot of japanese stores ;; it gets a little repetitive for us after a while

since we want to broaden our horizons, we decided to try out more cuisines from over the world

this time we stayed in asia, bc i spotted this tibetan restaurant the other day and it made me really want to try tibetan food: so mae and i got to have tibetan food together

she got chicken fried rice and i got pork momos which are like the most delicious and juicy dumplings ever. at one point i took a bite and the juice literally squirted out ToT

us at the restaurant!!!
Mae is so tan, we rly had opposite vibes this day

we also had tibetan teas. the whole thing was really good! i can always count on dumplings to delight me, LOL
it was really nice having lunch together too. Something cool abt having a friend like Mae who's a little older is that she's been through a lot of the stuff that im going through rn.. for example  I can talk to her abt guys and shes had similar experiences, so we can laugh abt these things together and i can get her precious insight 🙇

after that, we went to a nearby park, because another purpose for our hang was to take some pics for Mae's awesome accessory brand Maruya!! I was really excited to model for her T^T  I've never modeled like this before, and I kind of see this kind of stuff, modeling for a friends brand or project, as a big staple in like;; not just J-fashion spaces or even alternative spaces, but just the art sphere in general i guess.
I've wanted to do something like this for a while, I enjoyed it a lot. I'm also really glad it was for Mae's brand specifically. Considering I get to see the behind the scenes of her brand, I know just how much she thinks about her brand ethic; she really puts in thought into making a good and pertinent product and selling it for a fair price.
Also, the glasses are really cute;
It means a lot to me to help her out even a little.

anyways we then headed for her place;; which is basically heaven on earth. Mae's bedroom especially is like a temple to gal, her collection of gal home decor, magazines (and obvi brand) is a wonder to behold.
Thats when we met up with Nene! At first Nene did her make; so we could take some more pics with Mae's sunnies.

Once that was done, we got started on the arts and crafts portion of the evening, before Mae had to go hit up the tanning booth to mantain her 96ness (lol)! At first Nene and I meant to stay at her place to keep advancing on the project  but then we realised that we forgot something we absolutely needed for the project T^T so we went to the supermarket instead;;

at the supermarket, a girl who worked there stopped me to compliment me which was so sweet
then a foul smelling ugly guy catcalled then asked for my snap. #annoying
we were in the potato chips aisle so his smooth pick up line was "hey, i like chips too". gotta give it to him for creativity x(
anyways, one woman sweetly compliments you, a crusty dude bothers you; i guess its balanced

then we got back to Mae's to keep going on the project, and also chat a lot.. we did 60% goofing and 40%working LOL
in the end, the project had to be finished by Mae later..;

anyways that was the last time we would see Mae before the summer! we said our goodbyes in the evening, stomachs full of potato chips and hearts content.

i had a really nice day with my friends :>
